The District was notified by the contractor working on the Pond 5 culvert project that a Century Link phone line was cut during work today because the line was not located and marked properly by the locate company.
The culvert repair project continues and the trench has been dug in order to replace the pipe. The contractor continues to report that people are either walking or driving in this area and noted that it is very dangerous to be anywhere near the construction.
The culvert repair project continues and full closure of Forest Hills Drive has occurred. Our contractor has observed cars following construction trucks through the gate and either proceeding up the hill on Forest Hills Drive or turning onto Willobe. Please do not use the Forest Hills Drive entrance until this project is completed as a trench will be dug next week and the road will be impassable. It is dangerous to you and the contractors working in the area.
The culvert repair project is underway and barricades and signs are being placed on Forest Hills Drive (FHD) near Nakota; FHD at the gatehouse; Genesee Ridge Road and FHD; FHD and Anasazi/Hill & Dale; Willobe Way and FHD; and Eastwood and Willobe Way.
Please be advised that major repair project to replace overflow culverts in Pond 5, located at the bottom of Willobe Way, and crossing under Forest Hills Drive between Ponds 5 and 4 (the entrance pond) begins on Monday, October 21, 2024. It is anticipated that the work should be completed in 30-45 days.
Please be advised that hydrant flushing is scheduled to begin on October 2nd and may take several days to complete (subject to change). Please see the attached notice for further details about this important District exercise.
