District Updates
March 12th, 2021
With a major snowstorm predicted to begin Friday – stopping and restarting through Sunday evening, we are working closely with our snow removal contractor on the planning and management of the event. To minimize wear and tear and potential damage to our gates, we have decided to power them down and leave them in the open position for the duration of this storm.

The Forest Hills gates are currently inoperable but open. The repair service has been called.
March 3rd, 2021
Some of you may have seen a report on the local CBS station regarding PFAS contamination identified in a recent study of 400 Colorado communities’ drinking water. FHMD/Riva Chase was cited in the story as one example of a Colorado community with levels that are somewhat higher than others.

The FHMD Board has decided to leave Water and Sewer base and usage rates unchanged for 2021. For your reference and additional information on current fees can be found on our website.

It has been noted that many people are walking or skating on ponds in our community, especially the pond at the park. The iced over ponds in our District may look safe to walk or skate on, but with the warmer than usual weather this winter, the ice is very thin and unstable. Stay safe and stay off the ice.

The Forest Hills Metropolitan District Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of our new District Manager, Ronda Zivalich, who returns to the District in a new leadership role, reporting directly to the Board. She will be responsible for all day-to-day management of the District.
